Outreach at Wacousta Community United Methodist ChurchOutreach

We support missions locally and globally.  Local missions include the Lansing City Rescue Mission, Grand Ledge Emergency Assistance Program, Blessings in a Backpack and various domestic shelters and food banks. We are currently supporting two missionaries, one in Haiti and one in Zambia.

Our Threads of Hope quilting group creates quilts for baptisms and weddings, for the sick, or to send to our missionaries. We also have a knitting/crocheting ministry which makes prayer shawls and hats for chemo patients and premature babies.

We have a strong program of education for children of all ages. Sunday School is held following the worship service from 11:00 am to 11:45.  Our youth group is very active in mission work, Bible education and aiding those in need (and they manage to have some fun too!).
